Foluke Adenike Adeboye was born on Tuesday 13th July 1948 to the family of Jacob and Morounfola Adelusi Adeyokunnu. It would appear to be that Pa Jacob was the first son of his father from the royal family and lineage in Ijeshaland, the Owa Obokun Oji, Osun State. Thus, Foluke Adeboye is a princess.
Mrs Foluke Adeboye is marking her birthday today as she turns 72 years.

She is the eldest of a family of ten children.
Mr Adelusi who was a teacher and a catechist ensured that all his children were raised up as staunch Methodists. He was reported to be a strict disciplinarian. Mrs Adelusi, on the other hand, was a cloth trader.
Pastor Foluke attended Methodist Girls Primary and Secondary school Ilesha; she proceeded to the United Missionary College (UMC) Ibadan where she graduated from in 1966.
Hence, she added more qualifications: a Diploma Certificate from the University of Lagos (Associate Diploma in Education); another Diploma in Religious Studies and a Certificate in Directorate of Schools Studies from the University of Saint John and Mark, Plymouth, United Kingdom.
Pastor E.A. Adeboye is the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), the fastest-growing church in Nigeria.
The couple held their court wedding on September 8, 1967, while the church wedding took place on December 17, 1967, officially making them man and wife. She’s a proud mother of four children (three sons and a daughter) and many grandchildren.
Pastor Foluke Adenike Adeboye is blessed with rare gifts of administration, planning, hospitality, counselling, mentoring, ministering comfort, care, and encouragement to many, bringing hope, love and succour to the hopeless.

Foluke Adeboye has officially ordained a pastor in 1996 and since then she has held top leadership positions in the church including President of the Redeemed Women Fellowship (God Women Fellowship), Director of Education, Head of humanitarian duties etc.
