The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has called on Senators Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas Okorocha and the Apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation Ohanaeze Ndigbo to stop parading themself as representatives of Ndigbo.
IPOB warns that those positioning themselves in a view to be offered Presidential position come 2023 should stop doing so henceforth because there is no Election come 2023.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu warned and said, “you do not the locus standi to represent Ndi-Igbo anymore, having squandered the goodwill bequeathed to you as governors respectively” “Your eight years was a total waste with nothing to show for it.”
“The actualisation of Biafra is already here, hence there will be no need for the election as many thinks”.
Ohaneze may be interested in the 2023 presidency and pursuit of sovereign State by any group in the zone but maintained that it is a right to the Southeast zone, not a privilege to get the presidency in 2023.
You will recall that Ohaneze spoke Tuesday in Awka, Anambra State through its President in Anambra State, Chief Damian Okeke -Ogene while briefing newsmen after the group’s executive meeting.
He said the leadership of Ohaneze has not mandated anyone or group to pursue actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra but Presidency of Igbo extraction.
He said that some youths within the territory that make up the defunct Biafra Republic were restive and had made case for Biafra’s restoration because of the gross marginalisation of the zone.
According to Okeke –Ogene: “We are pursuing Igbo president because the executive of Ohanaeze led by Nnia Nwodo has the mandate of Ndigbo to negotiate the Igbo position in Nigeria.
“He wasn’t given a mandate for the Sovereign State of Biafra. That’s why we are saying, give us what is due for us and Nigeria’s president of Igbo extraction is what we are looking for.
However, IPOB debunks the idea that Igbos want to be president but categorically stated that the only viable alternative now is to have the United States of Biafra established according to the agreements reached with the International community.
